STM was established in 1991 for the provision of project management, system engineering and consultancy services to the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye - Presidency of Defence Industry Agency (SSB) and the Turkish Armed Forces in fields requiring high technologies and to support the national security of Türkiye. STM operates in a wide variety of areas, ranging from naval platforms to tactical mini-UAV systems and from cyber security to satellite technologies. Aside from its role in many national projects being conducted by the Turkish defence sector, STM is also engaged in export and business development activities in NATO and more than 20 countries.
